A little bit about us.
We're The Vandenberg's! We're a Hubby and Wifey duo and owners of RoBeau Design Co.!
We met when we were 19 years old, in the dorm rooms of our University; and as the saying goes: "The rest is history!"
Our name is inspired after our fur babies; Rory and Beau. We are your one stop shop for furniture, designs and home décor. We take great pride in our work and only take on projects we know that you will be happy to welcome into your home.
We pride ourselves in our ability to bring a clients vision to life! We provide our clients with a design and render of their project, offering any tweaks or modifications. We purchase our materials using local businesses and build everything at our home.

The "Beau" to "RoBeau"!
Beau is the newest member to the team. He is 9 months old and is a Blue Merle Miniature Australian Shepherd.
He is named after a local Ottawa Brewery, "Beau's". He is the definition of an "ausshole" but is also just the sweetest little boy! You can often find Beau attacking his sister, jumping off of everything or getting into trouble.
You'll most likely hear Beau trying to say hi to you when picking up your project!

She's the one who runs all the socials; from our Instagram, Facebook, emails, website, bookings and overall communication with our customers, Gabrielle is most likely the one you're chatting with.
She also does the majority of the painting. Jason builds it and Gab makes it pretty ;) She's constantly finding new projects for Jason but is also the one that tells him when it's time to take a break.

Jason completed his Masters of Architecture in the Spring of 2020. He has a great feel for all things engineering and math related.
Before we started this little side hustle; Jason was constantly building things for us! From a home bar to a King bed to a dining room table; our friends and family kept commenting on our posts saying that we needed to do this for others so here we are!

We first began our little workshop in 2020 when we moved into a new house where we decided our hand at building some new furniture for our new home. We posted our projects online where friends and family loved what we had created and began urging us to keep going. So we decided to dive in and in October of 2020 we started Robeau Design Co, or as we often call it, RBDC. We had a great initial year full of learning, lots of wonderful projects, and full of many great people we met. However, in November 2021 we made the decision to put our workshop on pause due to some noise complaints. While it was frustrating, we understood as we lived in a densely packed suburban neighborhood.
Fast forward to the start of 2023, we are now living in wonderful country home located in Clarence-Rockland. We have a larger space, a huge workshop and much more freedom to continue our passion of woodworking. After a bit more than a year away from the workshop we are excited to step back in and work with our clients to create many more beautiful projects.
